Admission into St. Malachy Academy is open to students seeking entry into the Secondary School level only, comprising Basic 7–9 and Post-Basic 1–3 classes.
Applicants seeking admission into Basic 7- 9 are required to meet the age and academic requirements approved by the school and relevant educational authorities. Admission into Post-Basic 1–3 is open to qualified candidates who have successfully completed the Basic level or its equivalent.
The selection process is based primarily on performance in entrance examinations, IQ tests, and/or interviews conducted by the Academy. Admission is competitive and is offered on a first-come, first-served basis, subject to satisfactory performance and the availability of spaces.
The entire application process is conducted online via our digital portal or manually in the school. Parents or guardians are required to complete the digital application forms accurately to ensure proper documentation and secure electronic record management. Candidates who successfully pass the required assessments will be offered provisional admission, after which parents or guardians are expected to pay the prescribed admission fees(If Applicable) to confirm and secure their child’s placement.
Admission Application Process
The following are the stages involved in the complete Admission exercise:

- Sign-In to your account with your email and password used during pre-application (Click on Login to Continue Application).
- Click on the hamburger icon if you are using a mobile phone to see the available options. On larger screens, the side navigation menu will automatically display. Complete all required forms sequentially.
- Click on Bio-Data to fill your foundational candidate information profile details.
- Please kindly note that the Transfer Form should only be completed if the student is transferring from another active academic institution.
- Click on Submit to preview all captured information inputs before executing final submission.
- Kindly note that any application that has been officially submitted can NOT be modified or edited again under any circumstances.
- After a successful submission, your complete printable Application Form will become available directly in your candidate dashboard for local download.
- Keep monitoring your dashboard for updates regarding your real-time application status (Which shifts from Pending to Accepted upon institutional verification).
- Track school notifications on the home page regularly. Definitive entry examination dates and screening center allocations will be broadcasted on the portal news timeline.
- Qualified selected applicants will progress directly to the Examination / Interview screening stages evaluated by the School Board.
- Final Shortlist publication of successful candidacies.
- If shortlisted, your operational candidate status profile indicator value will switch from Accepted to Admitted.
- Once admitted, you are required to log into the portal to accept your admission, which will be digitally signed using your uploaded student signature.
- Following digital acceptance, your official Admission Letter and Acceptance Letter will be instantly available for download inside your student or application portal dashboard.

Qualifications: Prospective candidates must possess the following core professional credentials:
- A recognized teaching qualification or equivalent certification from an accredited educator training institution.
- A relevant university degree or higher tertiary diploma in Education, or a specialized discipline matching the targeted teaching subject.
- Candidates holding non-education-based degrees are eligible for consideration on the condition that they obtain a recognized professional teaching diploma or postgraduate education certification within a two-year probationary period.
