St. Malachy Academy continues to demonstrate its commitment to holistic education through its Skill Acquisition Classes, a programme designed to equip students with practical, entrepreneurial and life skills necessary for success in an ever-changing world.

Speaking on the importance of the initiative, the Director of St. Malachy Academy, Rev. Fr. Bako Zichiyang Patrick, emphasized that education in the twenty-first century must go beyond textbooks and examinations.
He noted that skill acquisition programmes provide students with opportunities to discover their talents, build confidence and acquire entrepreneurial abilities that can contribute positively to their future careers and personal development.
According to him, equipping students with practical skills at an early age helps to foster creativity, independence and resilience, while preparing them to adapt to future opportunities and challenges.
Teachers who supervised the sessions commended the enthusiasm and commitment demonstrated by the students. They observed that the programme encourages innovation and enables students to appreciate the value of hard work, discipline and self-development.
The students themselves expressed excitement and appreciation for the opportunity to learn new skills. Many described the classes as engaging, inspiring and beneficial to their future aspirations.
