ST. MALACHY ACADEMY STUDENTS EMBARK ON EDUCATIONAL EXCURSION TO NIGERIAN COLLEGE OF AVIATION TECHNOLOGY (NCAT), ZARIA AND THE NATIONAL ANIMAL PRODUCTION RESEARCH INSTITUTE (NAPRI)

Students of St. Malachy Academy recently embarked on an educational excursion to the Nigerian College of Aviation Technology (NCAT), Zaria, and the National Animal Production Research Institute (NAPRI), Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, as part of the school's commitment to experiential learning and holistic education.

The excursion provided students with an invaluable opportunity to bridge the gap between classroom learning and practical experience by exposing them to key sectors in aviation, agriculture and scientific research.

At the Nigerian College of Aviation Technology (NCAT), students were introduced to various aspects of the aviation industry, including aircraft operations, aviation safety, air traffic management, engineering and pilot training. They interacted with professionals who explained the importance of aviation in national development and the numerous career opportunities available within the industry.

The students toured several facilities and gained firsthand knowledge of the sophisticated technologies and equipment used in aviation training and operations. The visit sparked curiosity and inspired many students to consider careers in aviation and related fields.

The excursion continued to the National Animal Production Research Institute (NAPRI), where students learned about modern agricultural practices, livestock management, animal nutrition, breeding techniques and scientific research aimed at improving animal production in Nigeria.

Researchers and staff members at NAPRI guided the students through various sections of the institute, explaining how scientific innovations contribute to food security, economic growth and sustainable agricultural development.

Speaking on the importance of the excursion, the Director of St. Malachy Academy, Rev. Fr. Bako Zichiyang Patrick, reiterated the school's dedication to providing quality education that extends beyond the classroom.

He emphasized that educational excursions are essential in broadening students' horizons, stimulating creativity and helping them discover their talents, interests and future career paths.

The students expressed excitement and appreciation for the opportunity, describing the experience as enlightening, educational and inspiring. Many noted that the excursion gave them a deeper understanding of the practical applications of subjects they study in school.

Teachers who accompanied the students also commended their discipline, enthusiasm and active participation throughout the exercise.

St. Malachy Academy remains committed to nurturing academically excellent, morally upright and socially responsible students by creating opportunities that expose them to real-world experiences and prepare them for future challenges.

The excursion further demonstrated the institution's resolve to produce well-rounded learners equipped with the knowledge, skills and confidence needed to excel in an ever-changing world.
