St. Malachy Academy witnessed a historic milestone on Wednesday, February 28, 2024, as it held the Foundation Laying Ceremony for the New Face of St. Malachy Academy, marking the beginning of a new era of growth, transformation and educational advancement.
The colourful and memorable event brought together clergy, government officials, traditional rulers, parents, teachers, students, benefactors, alumni and distinguished guests who gathered to celebrate a significant step toward strengthening the future of Catholic education within the community.
The ceremony commenced with prayers and blessings, invoking God's guidance and protection upon the project and everyone involved in its realization.
In his address, the Director of St. Malachy Academy, Rev. Fr. Bako Zichiyang Patrick, described the project as a bold vision aimed at creating a modern learning environment that will enhance academic excellence, character formation and holistic development for generations of students.
He emphasized that the new development represents more than physical structures; it symbolizes hope, progress and a renewed commitment to providing quality education rooted in Catholic values.
Rev. Fr. Bako Zichiyang Patrick expressed gratitude to all stakeholders, benefactors, parents and friends of the institution whose unwavering support and generosity continue to sustain the growth and mission of the school.
