St. Malachy Academy proudly celebrated its 2023 Speech and Prize Giving Day and Graduation Ceremony in a colourful and memorable event that brought together parents, teachers, invited guests, alumni, clergy, community leaders and well-wishers to honour excellence, celebrate achievements and bid farewell to the graduating class.
The occasion was marked by joy, gratitude and a renewed commitment to academic excellence, discipline and moral formation, which remain the pillars upon which St. Malachy Academy continues to build future leaders.
The ceremony commenced with an opening prayer, followed by a procession of graduating students and members of staff. Guests were warmly welcomed by the school Director, who expressed profound appreciation to Almighty God for His protection, guidance and blessings throughout the academic year.
In his keynote address, the School Director highlighted the remarkable achievements recorded by the institution during the year, emphasizing the school's commitment to nurturing students intellectually, morally, spiritually and socially. He commended the dedication of teachers, the cooperation of parents and the resilience demonstrated by the students in their pursuit of excellence.
One of the major highlights of the event was the presentation of academic awards and prizes to students who distinguished themselves in various categories, including Academic Excellence, Best Behaved Student, Leadership, Sports, Creativity, Cultural Activities and Overall Best Performance.
The graduating students were officially presented and congratulated for successfully completing an important stage of their educational journey. They were encouraged to remain disciplined, hardworking and exemplary ambassadors of St. Malachy Academy as they move on to greater opportunities.
Guests were entertained with captivating cultural dances, drama presentations, poetry recitations, musical renditions and other performances that showcased the talents, confidence and creativity of the students.
